Story Bone, July 4th edition

"He had parents that were so hippy, on July Fourth they'd stand out on their lawn at night waving sticks of incense around instead of sparklers."

Happy Fourth everybody.

Happy 4th, Steve. As a friend of mine said in an e-mail recently: "Don't blow your hand off, please."

LBB, Ha! Well, hopefully they use good smelling incense, it's got to be better than gunpowder (which gets my heart rate up). A neighbor seems to have spent a good deal of money on fireworks. My interior voices take notice when I hear the sound of mortars going off when I'm nopt expecting them.

Todd, yeah, don't do that. Light and throw. I remember a Sgt. telling me, "that 7 second thing (for grenades), pure crap. Maybe you get three or four. But don't count on that either."
