I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

Office Poll

I'm taking the slot that a major criticism of the President's SotU speech will be, "He didn't say the union was strong. How can we be strong unless he tells us we are." And then the general "they hate America" bull will follow.

Well sure, it's easier to write the copy before 5 o'clock -- you wouldn't want to be on the timeclock after 9pm, would you?

Well he did say We Don't Quit emphatically there at the end. To me that implies strength.

Dr Phil, yes, that would be overtime and an evil, union concept that is. Nope, don't want that. :)

WendyB, well, much of his speech implied strength (basically, told the Democrats in the senate to grow a pair, they still have a 59 majority, scolded the Dems in the House for squabbling like schoolchildren, and told the Republicans to "cowboy up"). And he did it while chuckling. Extra points for the chuckling.
