I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

Linkee-poo wonders if there'll ever be life on Mars

Woohoo for fiction sales by friends. Congrats, Elizabeth.

Wisconsin politics just continues to get stranger. Traditional family values my rear end. (Grokked from Jay Lake)

One of the mechanisms for hunger has been defined. Also useful to "the world is stranger than we think" and, "so you think you're in control, eh?" The body on a cellular level is an amazing thing. (Grokked from Jay Lake)

So good to see we got that whole "crooked campaign money buying elections" problem worked out. I think I've said before that we need to run campaigns like NASCAR. Have the candidate wear a flameout with the sponsors logos on it (sized by percentage of contributions). (Pointed to by Dan)

Judge allows suit against Rumsfield to go forward. This won't end well. I wonder how well his "aw, shucks" comments will play in front of a judge?

And, just in case you thought now that the Debt Ceiling has been corrected until after the 2012 elections, we could put all the strife and chest thumping (the sturm und drang of the past four months) behind us, think again.
