I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

So, now that That is done

We should see all these jobs showing up now that the debt ceiling crisis is over and we've cut spending and not raised taxes. Right? Right? I mean, that's what we were told was the hold up. Hello. Hello. Is this thing on?

So far all I've gotten is an extra hour of work and a traffic jam on the way home.

Bleah.

I'm off til January.

Seriously, they've had something like 9 years of Bush tax cuts and it doesn't generate jobs.

Dr. Phil, I know. History is a harsh mistress.

WendyB, I got a full length class on the last day with plenty of "you must" and "you have to" language from the instructor (not directed at me, but still).

Eric, all I got was a rock.

We should now worry even harder about the fate of our jobs, especially those in government research and other nonessential programs, now that we've ended the debt ceiling crisis by cutting spending and not raising taxes.

There, fixed it for you.

Phiala, well, yeah, if I got a federal paycheck I would be working my options right about now.

And here I will give another salute to the FAA Airport Inspectors who are still on the job, even though they were furloughed. Wonder if they'll make it through the month? (Cure the idiots who'll say, "This just proves we were paying them too much" in 3... 2... 1...).
