Though I saw it all around
Never thought I could be affected
Thought that we'd be the last to go
It is so strange the way things turn

Story Bones

Because the Muse demands I share it, but I really like where it takes me. Sigh, not enough time in the world.

"The word is difficult," he said with that accent John had never been able to place. "In your language, it is very flexible and fluid. Where you would take 6 or 8 words in context to convey all of an emotion, sight, or quality, in most cases we have one word. Ours is a precise language."

I see it as a lot of "lost in translation" story of cultural clashes. Sometimes it's the silences that speak louder than any megaphone could. And sometimes, someone can be showing you the clue, and you can completely miss it.
