"The night is a lonely hunter."
I thought this was a title of some long forgotten novel. Although Google seems to never had heard of it. The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter is a novel title by Carson McCullers, but I don't believe I've ever read it (although I'm sure I've heard of it). I see this as both a story title and something someone would whisper to you in the dark on a crowded bus or train.
