I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

Home Improvement

Last weekend was about the first time I've had all year to do anything more than cleaning around the home. So I decided to make a little sawdust and make an erection… um, I mean get something up… uh, okay, let me think a second, okay build something in the yard. Still working on the back patio work, but that'll take a lot more time. This was something I could complete in a few hours. And, except for the 6" x 6" x 10' posts and some rock, I had all the other materials already (recycled from other projects).

While I can't help but admire your new backyard building project, I really want to know how much you paid to have your lawn painted green. Everything here is brown and makes a crispity, crunchity noise when you walk on it. Hmmm, maybe we should water it once in awhile.

Hey Jeri, it helps that not all of that is actual grass. There's plenty of moss, plantain, chicory, dandelions, and various creeping vines. It also helps that it's rained so much that my lawn is still slightly waterlogged.
