Linkee-poo Wednesday like a Friday Nov 24

Busy, busy, mentally strained and attempting to get important stuff done before the snow flies (too late, but hopefully before the ground freezes). Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving… if you celebrate. If not, have a good Thursday.

"Schools and districts around the country have been canceling classes on short notice. The cancellations aren't directly for COVID-19 quarantines; instead schools are citing staff shortages, staff fatigue, mental health and sometimes even student fights… Sudden changes to the calendar leave families scrambling to make alternate arrangements."

"Jobless claims dropped by 71,000 to 199,000, the lowest since mid-November 1969. But seasonal adjustments around the Thanksgiving holiday contributed significantly to the bigger-than-expected drop. Unadjusted, claims actually ticked up by more than 18,000 to nearly 259,000."

"The Philippine navy successfully transported food supplies to marines guarding a disputed shoal in the South China Sea on Tuesday, a week after China's coast guard used water cannons to force the supply boats to turn back, sparking outrage and warnings from Manila, officials said."
