My dishwasher is leaking. Oh joys. I wonder if Sears would accept a barter deal? Probably not.
Yes, I know, I need to check the gasket first. I will. Then the hose connections, to see if it's just a connection that's come loose. It's just another thing to do without anytime to get to it.

I had this problem about a year ago, and came to realize I was using a tad too much detergent. Dumbass, I know, but an honest mistake that convinced me my DW was on the fritz. Finally, after a string of soapy puddles on the floor, I ran it and lay down beside it to observe. The suds were coming out at the bottom of the door. I theorized I was using too much soap, cut back on the amount a little and haven't had a problem since. I hate to wish the same kind of dumbness on you, but since that's the cheaper way to go I'll just say I hope you were equally as dumb as I was and are putting in too much soap. Otherwise, yeah, check those hoses.

This is also one of those moments where the distance between us is a problem, because I happen to have a perfectly fine DW that came with my current house (mine was newer so I replaced the older model) that I would love to get out of my garage. I guess if you're willing to spend the $300 on gas that it would take to drive down here and take an appliance which, new, might cost $200, then you're welcome to it.
Matt, if it was soapy water I would have spotted it sooner. Right now it was a "Why is this throw rug so wet." And then the second time I traced it. Right now I'm going to work on it to see what I can get. If I can't repair it then we'll probably go for high end (less noise and less energy/water usage). But thanks for the offer.
May not feel like your lucky day, but at least you can tell it is leaking.
Ours was spraying a fine mist behind it from a pinhole in the copper pipe. For years. Yes, quite a project.

Todd, water behind the unit is what I'm worried about. Checking it out I'm pretty sure it's the gasket though (dry, not all that flexible) and it might need releveling or having the trap cleaned out (as there's standing water in the basin when it's done).
