I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

Apparently I suck

Okay, so I'm a total geek and I do look at my site statistics. You know, because I'm a paranoid and insecure geek.

In the past few weeks I've dropped viewership of this blog by half. Do I need to gargle? Shower more regularly, is everybody going into hibernation mode right before NaNoWriMo?

Okay, yeah, I've been complaining a bit more than usual, and my life has been duller than usual. I haven't pushed out a short story in a bit, but I have been working on the novel (about 2500 words this month, not spectacular, but movement). I've been real busy with stuff around the home.

So, anything I'm not giving that I did give before that you all would like to see me give again? Is it that I'm not able to comment on everybody else's blog (it's a time thing only, I am reading them all)? Do I need those activated carbon inserts in my sneakers?

Okay, well, I'm being a little silly, but if anybody does have suggestions on if they used to read but now don't read regularly, I'm willing to listen.

I'm still with you Steve! Don't go on hiatus, please. Then I'd loose my only audience member. lol

I, for one, have completely eased off weekday blogging. Blogging seems to be falling out of favour with some (myself included) who find it distracts from their 'real' writing.

I know this isn't the case for everyone.

Ken, har! I have thought about cutting back. I have eliminated mnay of my secondary blogs which were mostly science, curmudgeon, and millitary blogs. So far I'm keeping to at least reading the writers' blogs I've haunted. At least I read them through their RSS feeds.

Camille, weekends my audience drops already, so you might be bumping up the numbers then. I think I need to structure my blogging a little more, instead of it being nearly 10pm and I'm still catching up. Wish I had cubical walls to keep my boss at bay. Ah well, that's why they call it work. Hope your cutting back is paying dividends.

Camille's gone--that's what it is, I think. I don't watch my site statistics, but if I did, I'm sure I'd be terribly depressed, as well.

Greeny, I think you're right. Camille certainly brings a light to where ever she goes. Well, really, all the readers and commentors here do.
