I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

Story Bone

I mistook my USB backup drive with my digital key and accidentally uploaded my novel to the car.

Write it up, Steve.

PS-- You know ASIM accepts multiple submissions: I think if you have one story on hold, you're allowed to submit another. They like the humor....

...and the windshield wipers clapped like a pendulum, and the engine cried, "Nevermore"!

Camille, now I just need a few weeks off work to write all the ideas up. :)

Thanks, Mer. We try to help.

And Greeny, I would think the wipers would go snicker-snack. And in my last car the engine cried Nevermore.

Ooooh...you've got Vorpal blades in your windshield wipers!!!

Greeny, the make them specially for the snow belt market (snow belt, in case you don't know, winds blow from Canada across Lake Erie, picking up moisture, head the Cuyahoga headlands uplift, cool, and viola, snow, sometimes from a clear sky, sometimes light, sometimes measure in inches per hour). When your in white out and people don't want to drive fast enough to keep snow from accumulating on their cars, you need extra sharp wiper blades. Also helps with ice accumulation.

Everybody is a critic, what'd the car have to say about your novel?

"needs more car chases..."

Actually it keeps misfiring like it's chuckling. Must have gotten to the scene with the pixie drinking a double-tall expresso.
