One can only hope, Rick. I think NASA is still trying to reconcile the manned vs. non-manned debate without the administrators realizing that it has to be both and to tell the proponents to get over it and that they'll decide how to divvy up the money instead of both sides grabbing for as much as they can.
The unmanned people have a good science and engineering argument -- and have had some remarkable triumphs. But we need people, too. I am not a machine!
Dr. Phil, I agree. We could put as many robotic ships up there, but it just doesn't match the boost you get by seeing the ISS go overhead and knowing there are people on it.

Who knows- maybe they'll actually develop a more ambitious program.
