I'll Take "Things That Are Cool" for $400.
Oh, okay, maybe it's my inner child that remembers going to the Phildelphia Natural History Museum and seeing all the bones, but new, weird dinosaurs turn my knobs up to eleven.
I like the big-ass ones they've been finding in Patagonia. Every time you think they've found the biggest creature possible - Gigantasurus, Seismosaurus, etc - the next month there's an even bigger one.
Jim, I don't know how the kids these days keep up with them all. And that's just the dinosaurs. There's lots of other fossils they're finding. It's just amazing. And that they do so much while leaving the bones in matrix.
We took the nephews to our Cleveland Natural History Museum for one of the big dino touring exhibits. They really weren't impressed when I tried to explain how we viewed dinos when I was a kid (tails on ground, the brontosaursii living in water, not having as much info on the skin, that they became the avians, etc).
Me too, Camille. I think that facination is genetic, deep in the lizard brain (below the Monkey Brain threshold). Something about how they could sqaush you if you didn't watch them.

I'll take cool dinos any day, any way.
