Okay, so after getting my stories back into submission, I had a lot of mental energy. I figured today would be an amazing production day.
Nothing. Nada. Zip. Bubkiss.
I farted most of the day away. I did get things done. A lot of paperwork that way laying around. I just didn't get any writing related things done. Well, except for checking Baen's submission site twice (I can't help it, must check again).
Hope your weekends were more productive.

Never withhold the ice cream...it's why the Writer's brain goes on strike!
I diddled away the day yesterday, myself. I have felt kind of empty and weird without the boys at home. I drifted from one place to another yesterday, buying peanut butter here, Kleenex there... It was kind of all angst-y and consumeristic.
Greeny, well, I am trying to reduce the amount of the sugar intake. So, not having ice cream wasn't so bad.
Yeah, when Bette is out someplace I always have this impression that I'm going to be SO productive. That never happens. I mope around, piddle with this or that, and fritter away the moments that make up the dull day.
Hey Steve,
I'm thinking of a blog that contains the postings of unpublished writers who are struggling with their craft. A watering hole for the Pre-Pro types to rant and rave and encourage each other. Maybe it has a combined RSS feed and also accepts direct postings from writers. Does something like that exist or do we need to create it?
Just a thought.
Clearing the decks (and the desk) is productive. Makes room for drafts, tiny bits of paper with ideas, one's beveridge of choice, etc.
Ken, I think you're describing almost every wanna-be blog out there. :)
Well, there's Absolute Write which I think has a neopro area. I don't have much time to look at that site 9except when I was looking for writing groups that may help me get to a higher level of writing). There's also OWW and Critters which might fill that role. There was some talk as John Scalzi was running for President of opening up an area of SFWA for the pre-qualifiers. That pretty much was a lead ballon.
Todd, yep. I think that was what yesterday was, a mental clearing day. I really wish my subconsciousness would tell me these things.
We're back to work (and having ice cream tonight!).
Ken, here's another one for novelists (via Tobias Buckell) SF Novelist.
I haven't looked at it too much, but ask and ye shall receive.
