Sheila, thanks, I didn't know it was a Churchill quote. That makes me feel a little better about it.
I know it's the basic premise of both "Fail better" and "To make an omelet you have to break some eggs." When I opened it, however, it was one of the "what the heck is this" kind of moments.
Hey Sheila, well I did go through the whole "what to add to your Chinese Fortune" thing, including the "in bed." While the first and last half the of the sentence I whole heartedly agree with, it's the middle part that I have a contention with. It's like using the word "little" in bed. That word should be verboten. :)
I've heard all those quotes, especially the last one, but only knew the middle as a Churchill quote. You learn something new everyday (or at least I do).

Wow! When did fortune cookie companies start quoting Sir Winston?
My father, who served in King George's navy during WWII, spoke fondly of Churchill and I inherited a soft spot for the man.
Never forget that the good guys triumphed in the end, despite a big failure from time to time.
Lucky you to get a Winstonism in a fortune cookie! I adore the guy, and would have loved to have gotten that one myself....

Considering that it is a fortune, perhaps it was only meant to make sense when you add "in bed" at the end? ;-D
Here are a few more Winstonisms that I like:
"Kites rise highest against the wind - not with it."
"Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."
"Russia is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma."

Churchill quotes aren't the light fare I'd want in a cookie.
Nobody likes a cookie to give guff.
