In case you were wondering

The crazy as batshit continues today. I'd make a pithy comment about how this at least gives the comedians a full employment clause with the new legislature and that may be a few more jobs, but I have to live in this world. And right now it's just making me sad.

Strangely omitted from the TPM coverage of the King/Polis exchange: "Rep. King then added, 'That reminds me: what's grosser than ten dead babies in a garbage can? One dead baby in ten garbage cans.' Speaker Of The House John Boehner solemnly told Rep. King that wasn't funny, but Rep. Michelle Bachmann indicated her disagreement with the Speaker by laughing so hard milk came out her nose."

I wonder if future archaeologists will blame lead in the pipes for our collapse, as has been suspected in the decline of Rome. Or maybe it's DDT in the drinking supply, or an unexpected side effect from fluoridation. We are become a nation of morons, and our leaders are about what we ought to expect, aren't they?

As an Iowan, I apologize for the saner half of the State who thinks Rep King is a freakin' looney.

Eric, It's the ant poison we've sprayed willie nillie. Or the extra special chemical additives in all those products from China Wal-Mart has been pushing on us.

Matt, well at least in your state you've obviously rounded up and quarantined all the batty people into one congressional district. In Ohio, we just sprinkle them around everywhere.
