I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

Deliberate practice and writers. (Grokked from Mer Haskell)

You know how when writers are asked about their creative process (typically, "Where do you get your ideas") they either sputter or make something up that sounds pithy or sarcastic? Yeah, designers do that too.

What would Reagan do? That's right, he would (and did) increase taxes. But don't tell the conservatives that, unless you like telling kids that Santa Claus doesn't exist. (Grokked from Jay Lake)

Tweet of my heart

Elizabeth, people often misunderstand just how cheap the things are that improve our lives immensely.

Dr. Phil, yep. Over all government employment is dropping so fast, it's what's dragging the jobs market down. Then there's also the secondary jobs that those workers also made possible.
