I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

Do they have a Hallmark card for that?

Hey, tomorrow, October 20, is National Day on Writing. So, go out and write something, somewhere. Maybe make a sign.

I was writing a research proposal today, not doing any creative writing.

Does that still count?

As long as you appreciated the writing, Sheila, I think it counts. And I've seen research proposals (and grant writing). They're very creative, just in a different fashion.
