I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

Loot!

The good stuff from Todd Wheeler's summer reading contest arrived yesterday. What a haul. An LED booklight (oooo), Library of Congress swag including a pencil, novelty pen, bookmark, and notepad. Thanks, Todd. Woohoo!

Glad it arrived safe and sound.

Yes, including the obligatory, "Who is this 'Wheeler' person?" questions from my wife.

Actually, I think she wanted to open it herself, as she does whenever a package from Amazon arrives. One of these days I have to order something that will shock her (instead of spoiling a gift for, say, her b-day or Sweetest Day).
